Lindsay Spellman was born in Vancouver, Canada and spent her childhood in Hope, BC. She completed her BA in Art and Design at Trinity Western University, where she focused on painting, drawing, and creative writing. She then began her art career in Vancouver and was a member of Thrive Art Studio for several years. Lindsay’s work is inspired by nature, spirituality, and storytelling. Her recent paintings exhibit local mountain landscapes in acrylic paint, and in 2021 she completed her first set of landscape murals inside Mountainview Brewing Co. in Hope, BC. Currently, she has self-published her second book of poetry, As the Sun Touches Everything (after a successful Kickstarter campaign), following her first release, The Art of Letting Go.

“My recent paintings are all based on mountains . Being in the mountain air, I feel close to God. I feel peace, strength, and perspective. It refreshes my soul and inspires me to live deeply. To risk and stretch and challenge myself.

It reminds me that the world is so big, yet intricately detailed, each rock, each blade of grass. I hope this art inspires others to enjoy nature, to do what makes them feel alive, and to see what mountain or challenge they can overcome; to be in awe of nature, the majestic mountains, and peaceful valleys. “

He who forms the mountains, stirs up the winds, he brings everything out of nothing, like dawn out of darkness. He strides across the alpine ridges. His name is God, the-God-of-Angel-Armies
